Product Overview

This is a very powerful acne treatment with Benzoyl Peroxide. Its called Terminator 10 because it has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide that if you read from the Acne page it is the highest amount allowed for the most effective Acne fighting chemical.

Basically this is a cream that you put on top of troubled spots on your face although if you can handle it you can also apply it to your entire face as a regular Acne treatment.

Benzoyl Peroxide is the most popular chemical for killing acne causing bacteria.

This review study goes a little further explaining this, but if you want the short version (I know you do): Acne as you may or may not know is caused by bacteria clogging your skin pores.

When this occurs your skin creates the pus thus creating the swelling and the redness and next thing you know you have a giant pimple ruining your day.

Benzoy Peroxide kills bacteria, which means it unclogs your pores, pus is out, no redness and swelling, happy times.

Now it would be a good time to ask.

So Why This Product?

This is some potent stuff and it has worked wonders for many people, the test pool for this product is big which means there is a high chance it will work for you since it has worked for many people already.

Its high percent Benzoyl Peroxide (the maximum allowable) means that it is much tougher on bacteria than the other percentages.

It can be used as a spot treatment or overall face cream, due to its strength you can be sure it will dry out a troublesome pimple.

The high amount of reviews and positive feedback show it is working for many people.

Acne Free is a trusted brand that has been around for many years providing different types of products for acne.

It has chamomile and ginger which has been proven to soothe and calm the skin.

Don’t forget Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the best chemicals used to kill bacteria and it is the number one chemical used to treat Acne.

The 1 oz bottle will last you a while, especially if you use it as a spot treatment mostly.

Tips and Tricks?

Always! Before applying it to your face check with a pimple or two, the Acne page Tips and tricks section has wonderful tips on how to correctly apply any Acne cream, once you apply the cream on the pimple check how it reacts to the cream.

If it gets red and itches for more than 10 minutes wash it off your face and try another pimple to double check if you can handle the cream.

Wash your face thoroughly before applying any acne or other product for that matter, this makes it so your skin is nice, dry and smooth, making it better for the cream to work.

I always recommend an exclusive cotton towel for pad drying your face every time you wash it.

A very effective way to apply the cream on a trouble pimple is by putting some on your index finger and massaging the pimple with it. Up and down and side to side motions.

Make sure the cream doesn’t dry up as you do this to reduce friction and hurting your skin during the massage.

By doing this, you are using the heat created from your rubbing and ensuring the cream is being fully absorbed by your skin. Use a similar massaging motion if you are using the cream on your whole face.

Do this in the morning or at night (Depending on your tolerance) at night you can add a little more product to cover it the whole pimple, I got no scientific evidence, but I swear it helps.

Heads Up

If you see you can handle it always apply a moisturizer after applying the cream (let the cream dry), this will keep your face hydrated and will decrease the chances of red or dry skin, check the Red/Dry skin page for some tips and the best moisturizer for Acne prone skin.

Keep in mind that a sensitive skin may not be able to handle this product. It is worth a try to see how it works, while it might cause some dryness or itching it will help your acne.

It is very important for you to try the cream for at least one month, buying two tubes of the cream would be enough to give you and idea of how effective it is for you.

Don’t give up if you don’t see results right away, Acne clearing is a process that needs to be tested and approached with patience.

If the acne is gone, but now you have a few scars, the Scars page is a great resource for some great products.

We’ve seen plenty of positive feedback from people who were able to handle this powerful product.

Don’t forget Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the best chemicals used to kill bacteria and it is the number one chemical used to treat Acne. So give it a try.

      Hey Kevin,
Glad to hear you like it, it is a perfect spot treatment and I know many people who also use it as an all day acne fighting cream. Due to the high Peroxide percentage it might dry your skin, but the moisturizer I always recommend will solve that, thanks for reading.

    Hi Victor,
I actually use this product as an all day fighting cream, it does dry my face a little, but it works so well I just keep using it. I will check out the moisturizer you recommended and hopefully that will take care of the dryness, thanks for this information.

      Hey Latha,
While it is recommended as a spot treatment many people use it as a cover all face cream to fight acne all day. It will dry your skin due to the high Peroxide content, the Cetaphil moisturizer recommended on the Red/Dry Skin page will help you immensely, glad I could help, thanks for reading.

      Hey Ahmoni,
It is probably because your skin is too sensitive for this product, this is 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. Use something more mild like the the Exfoliating Cleanser or switch to Salicylic Acid and use the Stridex pads. You have many options, if it is too painful stop using the product and go a different route, please be careful, thanks for reading.
