Wash and clean your face fully, the most important thing is to open up your pores as much as you can, this can be accomplished by washing your face with hot water by splashing it on your face for a minute.
You can also use a hot towel and leave it on your face for five minutes or you can use an acne product that exfoliates, mostly Salicylic acid based products.
Once your pores are opened and your face feels warm, dry it and apply the mask. Do it by layers, once you apply one layer apply the next and so forth, you want to apply it thick, so it is easier to remove, two to three layers usually do it.
After application wait 15 to 20 minutes even longer if the mask does not feel dry.
Once dry, try to remove it in a single pull from top to bottom, start peeling from an edge and slowly pull it off, you might feel a little pain not only from removing dirt from your pores, but only pulling little hairs on your face.
Once removed, wash your face again this time with hot water to remove any residue and then with cold water to close up your pores.
Don’t hesitate to use it on other parts of your body, this product is wonderful just make sure you only use it on external body areas and areas that are not wounded (open cuts or bleeding pimples).
It might get messy and your skin might turn red from the pulling, so it is best to do the mask at night.
Use it twice a week to keep your skin clean, if you are only using it in small areas like your nose or chin it will last you a while.
Redness and dryness will most likely occur, for this reason I always recommend using the great moisturizer mentioned on the Red/Dry skin page. Make sure to use it after using the mask and drying your face.

Yes, I figured it is mostly done just to freak people out, to be honest it bothers me as well. I have and since I’ve been using so many products and done so much to my face on my path to clearing it I can take a lot of pain, but I do know some people who found it not painful, but uncomfortable, as long as you pull it slowly and in one single pull you won’t feel much of it, you get used it and it’s worth it, thanks for reading.
