Place to Purchase: Amazon

Product Overview

This is a very effective quick application Acne treatment, the Stridex pads are a Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment that if you read in the Acne page is another great chemical to fight Acne prone skin.

The great thing about these pads is the fact that they are already moist and ready to be applied to your face making them a very quick an efficient treatment.

They are used to remove dirt and unclog pores by exfoliating your skin, so they are consider a great alternative to using Benzoyl Peroxide products.

They are 2% Salicylic Acid, the maximum percentage allowed for this chemical, so they might be a bit rough to sensitive skin.

The alcohol free pads are a great option for those who are not having too much success with Benzoyl Peroxide or would like to add an extra product to their treatment.

So Why This Product?

The Stridex brand pads have shown to be very effective, I’ve seen a some people getting better results with Salicylic Acid than Benzoyl Peroxide, so using these particular pads that have a lot of positive reviews might be an excellent starting point.

The pads come stacked in a small container that if you keep closed at all times will always be wet with the Salicylic Acid for fast use.

One pad is enough to cover your entire face completely making them very price efficient.

Some Tips and Tricks?

Always, some people use these pads to remove make up or even previous acne treatment. Some use it as a quick way to clean your face without washing it with soap and water before sleep (might not work for everyone).

Since the Salicylic Acid has a bit of a strong smell using the pads at night is recommended.

Start using one a day and see how your skin handles it, then you may increase the number of pads you use to a maximum of three.

Usually using your first one after showering in the morning and one before bed and if you want a third one mid day.

When applying the pads don’t be rough, they are design to exfoliate your skin, just lightly and slowly wiping your face with the pad and that should be enough.

Don’t forget this may cause some dryness, so I always suggest applying a little bit of the moisturizer recommended in the Red/Dry skin page.

Like with any new Acne product, always try them for at least one month before moving on.

You can also use these pads as a supplement to your acne treatment, using a Benzoyl Peroxide wash.

Final Thoughts

Check out the Stridex Strength Medicated Pads, they are a great option if some of the Benzoyl Peroxide products aren’t doing it for you. Different skins act differently and a Salicylic Acid treatment might be just what you need.

Please do not hesitate to comment or ask questions and I hope this product helps you on your path to Beautiful Clear Skin.

      Hey Miguel,
One chemical might work for you better than the other, although do not be discouraged if you do not get results with some benzoyl peroxide products, sometimes a combination of the two does wonders, try this great product and then try a combination of the two, good luck! Thanks for reading.

          Hey Latha,
Glad it’s working for you, you can try the Sensitive skin version of these pads which are not as tough to your skin or the Cetaphil moisturizer to help with your drying skin, you can’t go wrong with either of these choices, it’s my pleasure. thanks for reading.
